The Make an Offer Process on Rise Art

Rise Art offers its collectors the ability to make offers directly on your artworks. This allows potential collectors to express their interest and propose a price they're comfortable with.

For artists, we strongly recommend that you leave the offer functionality enabled on your Rise Art profile. Being open to offers creates a valuable touchpoint between you, the artist, and potential collectors.

Even if the initial offer falls below your asking price, it opens the door for our team to interact with the collector. We will use this as a springboard for further discussion about your artwork and practice.

Here are some answers to your questions about this process:

Does Rise Art automatically accept offers?

Rise Art follows the Seller Terms and Conditions when reviewing offers. This means that offers that represent a discount equal to or less than 10% of the listed price will be automatically accepted in order to have a higher chance of converting the sale.

Offers with a discount greater than 10% are sent directly to you for your approval. This gives you complete control over whether to accept, decline, or counter the offer.

What is the maximum discount an artist can offer via this process?

Offers exceeding 20% of the listing price will not be processed and the collector will be prompted to make a new offer.

Does accepting an offer guarantee a sale?

No, accepting an offer does not guarantee a sale. When a collector makes an offer, it's essentially an expression of interest and their proposed price. You have the right to accept, decline, or counter the offer.

What happens after I respond to an offer?

Once you respond, whether by accepting, declining, or countering, the communication goes through the following stages:

  • If you accept the offer: The Rise Art platform will facilitate the sale, which includes processing payment and arranging shipment of the artwork.
  • If you decline the offer: Rise Art will inform the collector and may contact you directly to discuss further.
  • If you counter the offer: Your counter will be communicated to the collector. They may then choose to accept your counteroffer, or decline to proceed.

Additional Tips

  • Communicate clearly and promptly: When responding to offers, be clear and timely in your communication with Rise Art. Offers have a higher chance of being converted to a sale when accepted quickly.
  • Contact Rise Art if in doubt: You have the right to negotiate and wait for an offer that you feel comfortable with. If you're unsure of something, contact our team to chat before refusing an offer.
